In the age of rapid population growth, climate change and volatile global economic conditions, the need to improve the sustainability and efficiency of cities have not been as urgent as it is now.
Our Center responds through its research to the important global need for the formation of environmentally, socially and economically sustainable cities and villages. As such, it provides an intellectual base for a wide range of urban researchers.

City Profile
Our City Profile report gives you a glimpse of the demographic, financial, economic, services and other aspects of quality of life so you will know the details of the city like you know the back of your hand.
Data Collection
Periodical staff and team trainings on Kobo data collection tool, In-depth interviews, Focus Group discussions FGDs, House Holds interviews HHs, Key informant’s interviews KIIs, Community Focal Points CFPs.
Data Analysis
We depend on data platform capable of combining and analyzing data sets from a wide range of sources. The processed data is then made available for service providers via open interfaces (Reports, Diagrams, Infographics, Maps.... etc).
GIS Analysis
GIS-based maps, visualizations and geospatial analysis greatly assist in understanding situations and storytelling. URC is increasingly being implemented as enterprise information systems in urban studies.
Desk review
Our Service Desk review is a comprehensive assessment of the key components that comprise the overall service, and enhance understanding of the process of reintegration in urban contexts.
Local Advocacy
URC focuses on empowers communities to directly address the policies and practices that perpetuate poverty and injustice in the places they live, and enabling people to express their views and concerns, and explore choices and solutions.
Assessments
URC supplies Assessment services to identify the necessities of stakeholders in a range of situations, and draw some lessons which could inform a future policy and implementation strategy.
Expert Consulting
URC offers a group of experts working to understand the relationship between policy, planning and everyday life issues. We are keen to provide analysis and advice on sustainability and long-term urban transformations.
Reconstruction Syria
URC studies how should begin the reconstruction of the destroyed cities, villages and infrastructure, and to create conditions under which refugees and displaced people could return home.
Early Recovery
URC is part of Early Recovery Cluster and is working on studies related to the Whole of Syria strategy.
